You’re not alone. Despite a lot of nonsense out there about nutrition, eating well is actually fairly simple – but that doesn’t mean it’s always easy.

We all need help with different things and that can include our diet. This might be for weight loss, but also to improve our health and wellbeing by making positive, sustainable changes to the way we eat.

Through our consultations, I am able to get to know you, your dieting history, your current relationship with food, your lifestyle and to understand the goals you have for your health, nutrition and general wellbeing.

We then work together to achieve those goals in the ways that work best for you. There is no judgement and no guilt: just support, encouragement and yes, accountability!


My story

I love food, I like to eat and I like to enjoy it.

I also understand how it feels to get nutrition “wrong”.

For almost 25 years, I followed a cycle of periods of restricted eating interspersed with episodes of binging. I had a library of diet books and tried (unsuccessfully) to stick to countless different weight-loss regimes. I was always looking for the holy grail that would finally “fix” things. The sad thing was that in all those years, I was never actually overweight, just stuck in the grip of diet culture and trying to cope with a poor body image.

After a successful career as a secondary school languages teacher, I left teaching in October 2020 after experiencing a breakdown. It was time for a change.

I spent all of 2021 studying nutrition, culminating in qualifying as a certified Level 4 Nutrition Coach through the highly-regarded BTN Academy This was utterly transformative for me: cutting through the pseudo-science and the celebrity-endorsed diets to finally understand the importance of an evidence-based approach and the role our brain plays in the foods we eat.

I know that following a healthy diet isn’t always as simple as “eat less” or “eat better”. It’s also about the choices we make, the way we feel about food, how we grew up, the impact of our emotions and even our hormones. And now that I understand all of that so much better, it’s fantastic to be able to help you to move forward and get the best from your diet too.
